Unlike most modern-day entrepreneurs, David & Shelley Heaslip did not have to go looking for the next big thing. Native New Zealanders, who had recently relocated to Orange County, California, they were disappointed to find their new house did not even have a towel warmer. Overseas, a towel warmer, or heated towel and drying rack, is a staple home appliance. A person wouldn't even give a second thought to running to the store and purchasing one, as an American would a toaster.

Shopping the malls of Orange County, David could not locate a single one. He found out that most people in the States had not even heard of a heated towel and drying rack, much less owned one. But where most people would dwell on misfortune, David saw an opportunity.

Warmrails' product line consists of over 10 heated towel warmers, varying in size, style and price. Each unit has been designed specifically for the U.S. market. Most models can be mounted to a wall, either hard-wired (by a professional) or soft wired, allowing them to be plugged into a standard outlet. Some models offer the unique ability to be used freestanding.

A heated towel and drying rack is not going to add a noticeable monthly expense. "Back home, most people have one or two running in their house 24 hours a day," Heaslip explains. "They turn them off when they go away for more than a couple of days - that's it. They are designed to run non-stop and use less power than a regular light bulb."

Because Warmrails are so good at drying towels (and even clothing and delicate laundry items), a heated towel and drying rack can save an owner money, while helping to protect the environment. Energy bills will be lower due to running the dryer less frequently. This in turn extends the life of towels and clothing and reduces detergents in the waterways. Warmrails packaging clearly demonstrates these and other practical uses of the product, as well as the luxury of warm towels.

"Warmrails is already leading the market by providing customers with what they want at the right price" says David. "We are leading the way with new technology, replacing the old oil-filled units and their leaking problems, and adding models that are attractive to a broad base of customers".
